About Goldfinch
Gail Winterscheid started Goldfinch Design & Floral, LLC in 2025, after a lifetime of decorating, years of interior design and staging as hobbies, and practicing merchandising and event design in various professional roles. For her, Goldfinch is a blending of talent, skills, passion, and ultimately, it’s a dream come true!
Gail’s personal style is traditional, leaning transitional. With an eye for detail, she loves delicacy and delights in pattern. She’s drawn to color palettes that are light and calm, rich or invigorating, inspired by nature in both the Pacific Northwest and Scotland. However, with her passion for interior design, she is delighted to work in a variety of styles, shaping bespoke spaces tailored to reflect her clients’ personal tastes.
Gail would love to help you define or discover your personal style, start that project you’ve been dreaming of, refresh your home or rental to make it more welcoming and peaceful, bring organization and design to cluttered spaces, or stage a home to appeal to the most buyers. This includes an initial phone consultation (approx. ½ hr.), an in-person site visit with designer, further designer visits for decorating, and all hourly work. Also, we source, purchase, and assemble (as needed) home goods & décor, and execute small cosmetic updates.

Example: a map app shows that Port Townsend, WA is 199 miles away from Vancouver, WA. This puts it on the chart at $2.00/mile, a round trip is 398 miles; multiply those and you get the travel fee: $796.00.

This refers to the purchase prices of décor items, home goods, and refresh materials, like paint or wallpaper. Itemized invoices will be presented to clients, along with copies of receipts, as requested, and nothing will be marked-up. All purchases made for our projects will simply be reimbursed.

Goldfinch Design & Floral is not currently a florist. However, we offer tailored florals as part of our decorating services. Working with fresh and faux flowers and greens, we only charge for the materials used and the designer’s time falling within the agreed service or hourly work.
